All staff were attentive, polite and friendly and helped me use the lift. I am claustrophobic and staff accompanied me in the lift. When leaving the receptionist hailed a taxi for me while I sat inside the clinic. My consultant was Mike Fox. He discussed my condition and explained what could be done to correct things. He was very easy to communicate with and explained things very clearly with the use of sketches. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. He seemed interested in me and we briefly discussed non-medical common interests.

I saw Mr Tahmassebi who's a top rate surgeon. As importantly he takes the time to deliver the information in a way that's understandable to someone who isn't a doctor specialised in this field. He's also very warm and friendly and genuinely has the patient's best interest at heart. That shouldn't be taken for granted.

I was provided with an interpreter when I never requested one. I feel this was prejudice on behalf of the clinic, as they saw that I am Arab and assumed I wanted an interpreter. You should always ask patients beforehand if they would like one and not assume that they need one. I was extremely annoyed by the situation.

I was made very welcome for the whole of my visit and I was offered a hot drink on arrival which was nice.

The staff at the Cleveland clinic are absolutely wonderful, but the biggest star of them all is Mr Boz Mohammadi. You won't find a kinder, more caring, compassionate and brilliant surgeon than him. He has given me exceptional care throughout my treatment. He really connects with his patients and is extremely calm, professional, mythodical, systematic in his approach and takes his time to explain everything thoroughly and succinctly. I was in very capable hands throughout and felt that I was receiving the best treatment that money could buy. If I ever need treatment again, he'll definitely be my surgeon of choice. He's the absolute best!
